Obituary of Barbara Charlotte Gunger

Barbara Charlotte Gunger, 85 of Englewood, FL passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 She was born on June 24, 1936 in Kalamazoo, MI to John G. and Thelma G. (Baker) Dorsey. Barbara had been a resident of Englewood, FL for 28 years coming from Kalamazoo, MI. She was the first female installer for Michigan Bell retiring after 22 years. Her hobbies included kayaking, pottery, painting, an avid card player, big fan of football and golf and she loved horses. Survivors include her two children: Jonathan Gunger of Plymouth, MI; Julia Gunger of Richland, MI; sister: Jacqueline, Benson of Iowa City, IA; Thomas Dorsey of Englewood, FL; three grandchildren: Dennis McCullin, David McCullin and Kyle Gunger and seven great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Englewood Community Funeral Home on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2 PM If desired, you may make a contribution to the Englewood Art Center in Barbara's memory.
