My mother, Eleanor (Marty's Aunt) and Mark and I were very sorry to hear of Marty's passing. My dad, Ray, my sisters and I worked at Marty's first pizza house. I loved working there with Uncle Martin and Aunt Gladys and Marty. I also worked at his second place on Lorain Rd. in North Olmsted, I would open and dad would close, a pretty heady experience for an 18 yr. old.
Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Your Ohio family has missed you.

Our Dear Uncle Mar Mar, You will be dearly missed by so many. Thank you for giving me my first job the day I turned 16, as a waitress, even though you said I would never be any good. I learned a lot from you, your kiindnest and your concern for others. I am so happy that I was part of the Angleo;s crew. And all the wonderful friends that I have had for so many years Dave, Danny Tom, Barney, Bz, Chris and all the others.. When we get together and talk about all the things we would do wrong and you would pick on us. These memories will help us all get through our loss. I am really happy that Dave put together the reunion and I was able to go to Cleveland and sit and talk with all of our friends and laugh I will never forget you and Ann and all of our good times. I Love you both, Diana

Sue worked with Marty for more than 20 years, and I for 6. We will always remember the good times especially the send off he gave us when we moved to Vegas. We always looked forward to seeing him and Ann when they took their trips out here and we always got together. We loved Marty and will miss him. His spirit will live on in all of us.

Hello "BOSS" not good-by. The Angelo's gang will remember the great times we all had with and because of you... You helped us shape the people that we are today. During the re-union, I would only hoped that we could have had more of the people that you have touched over the years.
Do not worry, there are many many freinds that will keep your wife safe and in good hands !!!!

My first visit in the last 70's had to include a trip to Angelos. Then it was a regular thing for us. Pizza/salad and the homemade dressing to dip my crust. yum! Marty always was working, and the whole family was around. As things changed, I got the chance to wait on Marty and Ann many many times. Worked with Rosanne many years as well. I am so sad for everyones loss of Marty, he will be missed, and as everyone before me as stated, he was a great man, and I always enjoyed seeing you Ann, and Marty walk in the doors. God Bless and our love to all the family, present and past. xx

Ann and Marty:
Love you both. Thanks for just being there. Marty came to my rescue when we lost Billy and I'll never forget that. You were both there for me. I can't even begin to list the things Marty did for us. I met so many wonderful people through Angelos. Just remember Ann, he is not forgotten and gone, he'll always be in our memories and we need to just pause and think of so many events and things through the years that make us SMILE! I love you .... and thanks!

Marty,
Thank you for the lesson on life. You took care of us when we were young. You were a big influence on me. I have often thought of you when I went on to help a young person later on in life. It seems like yesterday we all were slinging pizzas and running deliveries. Dave H, Blinky. J.G., Tammy, Rhonda, Susan and John Ray. You financed a 1965 Chevy for me to run deliveries with and only took one payment out of my pay.( I loved that old car and sold it to buy flowers for my wedding) Once you had a bunch of us pick out 20 or so Tee shirts from an old Captains Club box to help you "clean out". (those were my clothes for the next few years). And I remember getting up early every day to come in and sweep up from the night before (there was always coffee and a fresh roll for breakfast).
Thank you my friend,
Steve
p.s. If there are Mercedes in Heaven, I know you are driving the lead car!

I will always remember the years working for Marty. I grew up learning alot from him and always looked up to him as a boss and a friend. He was generous to a fault. He will be missed by many. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.Hopefully this poem will give some comfort:
When I come to the end of the road & the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me alittle but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared .. miss me but let me go....
For this is a journey we all must take & each must go alone.. it is all part of the Masters plan a step on the road to home. When you are lonely& sick of heart go to friends you know & bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.. Miss me but let me go.......
