Obituary of Martin Peter Kwant

Martin Peter Kwant, 76, of Englewood, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 11, 2023. He was born in Lansing, MI November 11, 1947 to George and Ida (Putney) Kwant.

Martin graduated from Sexton High and had four years of additional education. He served in the Marine Corp from 1965 to 1968. When Martin returned from active duty he secured a position in Lansing, MI working for General Motors in the Tool & Dye Dept. He became a licensed Real Estate agent in Michigan and Florida and later working as a Certified Heating & Air Conditioning Technician until his retirement in 2008.

Martin had a lifelong love of hunting, fishing, boating and golfing. He was an active member of Rotonda West Golf & Country Club.

Martin is survived by his Wife – Janice L. Kwant, Daughter – Heather Vellanti, Brother – Michael Kwant, Son-in Law – Luke Vellanti, Cousins – Terry Allen, Jim, Tom, Robert & MaryLind Kwant, Kathy Schultz & Sharon Trombley.

Memorial Service will be at Holihan Atkin Funeral Home in Gran Ledge, MI on January 13, 2024 at 10 AM.

A Veterans Memorial Service will be at Englewood Community Funeral Home on April 17, 2024 at 10 AM.

He will be missed.
