Obituary of Rita M. Bauer

Rita M. Bauer, 92, formerly of Eau Claire, WI; passed away September 22, 2023 in Englewood, FL.

Rita was born December 1, 1930 to George and Agnes (Turany) Boos in Chippewa Falls, WI. She graduated from McDonell High School in Chippewa Falls.

In August 1948, Rita married the love of her life, Ralph Bauer. They were married for 66 years.

Rita and Ralph lived in Eau Claire until moving to Port Charlotte, FL in 1991. Rita was an avid card player and was also active in the Women’s Guild of St. Francis of Assisi in Grove City, FL for many years.

Rita is preceded in death by Ralph; her parents; brothers, Ray Boos and Elmer Boos and a sister, Mary Ann Herbert.

She is survived by her son David (Paula) of Salem, OR; daughter Connie (Mark) Mortensen of Flower Mound, TX and grandsons Ryan Choudhury, Omar Choudhury and Mikal Choudhury, all of Flower Mound, TX. Rita is also survived by her sisters-in-law Jeana Boos of Chippewa Falls, WI and Janet Wilson of Englewood, FL and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
