Donald Lee Rippeon

Donald Lee Rippeon died unexpectedly on the early morning of September 12, 2023 at his home in Englewood, Florida where he resided with his long time partner of life Abbie Marder Banks. Donald was born in Baltimore, Maryland October 16, 1946 to his parents, Leo M. Rippeon and Mildred Livingston. He was the oldest of three brothers. Donald’s brother Thomas Rippeon resides in Wisconsin with his long time life partner Stephanie Brown.  Donald’s brother Craig Rippeon of Frederick, Maryland, is deceased.

Donald was loved by his family. All the children loved him dearly. He was lovingly  known as Granddude. Niece, Laura Ann Rippeon, step grandchildren Justin Peterson (greatgrandson Owen), Danielle Jones (husband T. K and greatgranddaughter Laylah), Alexis Bowen, Kevin Bowen ( wife Farrah), Chelsea (husband Zach) and Ayla and Austin Smith. Donald loved his two step daughters very much, Deborah Banks Zambetti ( husband Peter) and Ellissa Banks Bowen (husband Steve).

Donald spent almost his entire adult life in the automotive Industry as manager in car dealer ships. When he moved to Florida, he was a manager of finance for a boat company.

Donald grew up in Frederick, Maryland. He loved sports and played football in high school. He went to St Mary’s college in Emmitburg for accounting.

Donald moved with partner, Abbie Marder Banks, over twenty years ago to Englewood, Florida where he enjoyed the coastal living and wildlife. Donald enjoyed being active in the Venice Area Birding Association. He was devoted to his fur babies, Maximillian, Maggie Malone and Little Buddy. He became quite interested in all Florida wildlife. Donald will be missed by his many wonderful  friends and his dear relatives. A memorial will be planned in the distant future.
