Obituary of Dolores A. Johnson
Dolores (Dee) A. Johnson died peacefully on October 26th in Punta Gorda, Florida at the age of 100. She was the youngest of ten children born to Frank and Nellie Roach in Detroit, Michigan. Known for her quick wit and great sense of humor, she was a devoted Catholic, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked for years as an operator at Michigan Bell, and in retirement was a longtime snowbird who enjoyed her summers in White Lake, Michigan and her winters in Port Charlotte, Florida, where she frequently volunteered at Fawcett Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her son William, her parents, and all nine of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Michael) Sheehy, her grandchildren Nicole (Michael) Lavagnino, Denise (Jimmy) Deardorff, and Steve (Colleen) Sheehy, and her great grandchildren Clare, John, Ella, AJ, Nolan, Christopher and Adam.
Her family is grateful for the loving and attentive care she received over the last several years at Life Care Center in Punta Gorda. Her funeral Mass and burial arrangements are pending and will be at a later date. Visitation is Friday September 8, 2023 at 10:30 AM, St. Fabian Catholic Church. 32220 West 12 Mile Farmington Hills MI 48334. Funeral mass begins at 11:00. Internment immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield MI.
