Obituary of Ronald Vincent Tommasino

Ronald Vincent Tommasino passed away on August 14th, 2023 with his loving wife Sharon by his side in Englewood, Florida at the age of 72.  Ron was born on September 28th, 1950 in Brookline, Massachusetts to parents Vincent and Lena Tommasino.  After proudly serving in the United States Air Force and the Massachusetts Air National Guard for a combined 15 years, Ron and his wife Sharon settled in Mid-coast Maine where they lived and raised a family for over 30 years.  As a Vietnam War Veteran, Ron was a longtime member of the American Legion, National Rifle Association, and an avid supporter of veteran support organizations.  Ron was also a former volunteer fire fighter in Camden Maine.  A passionate music lover and musician, Ron also enjoyed building and collecting cars and motorcycles, had a well-known appreciation of the Culinary Arts, and a deep love for his family.   Ron will be fondly remembered by his friends and family for his great sense of humor.  Ron is survived by: Sharon Tommasino, the love of his life and wife of 45 years. Three beautiful daughters: April Wheelis (Andrew), Christina Tommasino, and Laurie Tommasino (Malcolm), and one cherished granddaughter, Annabelle Wheelis.  Ron was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Lena Tommasino.

Service arrangements are still being made, with a memorial and internment service with full military honors to be held at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine at a date and time to be announced soon.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made in Ron’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
