Obituary of Laura W. Caccia

Laura Wolfe Caccia died peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 after more than 4 months of hospitalization and Rehab due to a hip surgery and broken femur bone at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice Florida. She fought a great fight but the infection in her system was too much for her to overcome.

Laura was born in Rome, Georgia on July 30, 1946 to Joseph H. Wolfe and Betty (Smith) Wolfe.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 44 years, Bob, stepsons Robert and Chris, Her brother Joseph, and his wife Marie and all of our relatives in Massachusetts and beyond.

She attended New England School of Art and Design graduating with a diploma in Fine Arts in 1990, graduating first in her class. She also studied for two years at the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston. (Including one year with realist Barnet Rubenstein). She received an MBA from River College Nashua NH and a BA from Boston University.

Laura has had many one person exhibitions and group shows throughout the Northeast and in Florida. Laura and Bob traveled for eight years in their RV getting to know the people and places that make up the essence and diversity of the United States. Many of her portraits in “Faces Across America” were painted during that time. Laura taught Art for several years both in New England and Florida. She offered classes in basic drawing, oils, acrylics, and oriental brush painting.

Laura will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. Her Love, guidance and outlook on life was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is in peace and with God

A Memorial Service Unity Church of Venice on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life to follow In the Church Hall at 12:00 PM

 She will be buried at Sarasota National VA Cemetery at a later date.
