Dear Susan,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband, Larry. Although I never had the opportunity of meeting him, I knew him through my father, his dear friend,
Bob Boone. My dad always spoke so highly of fishing buddy and talked about the great times they had together. I remember the yearly tarpon fishing trips that they would go on and how much my dad looked forward to his trip to Florida. I'm forever grateful the two had the chance to have their last fishing trip this year. He left this world too soon and I'm sorry I never had the opportunity to meet the wonderful man I always heard about. One day they will be fishing together again just like the old days.

Larry, thank you for being you! What a great guy, so laid back but very intelligent, with a great sense of humor. We had a lot of fun together working our way up in the lumber industry back in those crazy 70's and 80's. You were so smooth as our fearless leader that we all felt better about ourselves and the company. What a head for business Larry had. It has been wonderful getting together with Susan and Larry in Florida in retirement to talk about old times and laugh about those memories. That's what I remember about Larry and Susan is all the laughs. I don't think I ever respected and admired a person quite as much as I did Larry Smart. Time for a shot of Wild Turkey to Larry! Love you Bro! Rest in Piece. Love you too Susan. Kevin and Frances McCarthy

So very saddened to read of the passing of my favorite first cousin. We were quite close as children as well as when young adults. Stand out memory of trip to Florida to visit with his best friend Bruce Nye the Elvis Guy back in early 1970's. Best wishes to the family and prayers for their hearts healing. With loving memories, your cousin Richard.
