Obituary of Stella M. Cava

Stella M. Cava, 84, of Englewood passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Englewood Community Hospital. Born on November 15, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony and Rose (Stamata) Foresta, she had been a resident of Charlotte County for fifteen years coming from Davie, Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and home maker for her family, who was always there for her family. She always placed the needs of family and friends before her own. A constant body of motion she was ready to help any time. Stella enjoyed playing the slots. Stella was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She is pre-deceased by her husband of forty-three years: Delano in 1998, and a brother, Thomas Foresta. Survivors include her daughter: Barbara Pate and a son: Thomas Cava and his companion, Marie Cordasco both of Englewood, Florida; two grandchildren: Anthony Cava and Shawn Arnold. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, 3070 South McCall Road, Englewood. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 5265 Placida Road, Grove City, Florida 34224. Interment will follow be in Sarasota National VA Cemetery.
