Obituary of Francis Mickey J. Hanson

FRANCIS "Mickey" HANSON, 71, of Rotonda West passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2010 at his Charlotte County residence. Born on February 6, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts he had been a resident of Rotonda West for eight years coming from Malden, MA. Mickey was an officer with the Melrose Police Department for twenty-eight years prior to his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Massachusetts Police Association, St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Knight of Columbus Fr. Michael Cottrell Council 7672 Survivors include two daughters: Laura Hanson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Melissa Castro of Malden, MA; six sisters, three brothers and four grandchildren. The Hanson family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 4 Pm until service time at 5:30 Pm at the Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3070 South McCall Road. Father Adrian Wilde, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish will officiate. Interment will be in St. Francis Memorial Garden.
