Obituary of Dawn M. Atkinson

DAWN M. ATKINSON, 51, of Englewood died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at her Charlotte County residence. Born on May 8, 1958 in Tombstone, Arizona she had been a resident of Englewood for twenty-four years coming from Ocala, FL. Dawn worked at several locations including Publix at Merchants Crossing and as a domestic housekeeper on Little Gasparilla Island. She loved her cat Spike. She and her loving companion of fifteen years, Rusty Gibson, worked together as Gibson Electric on Little Gasparilla. Survivors include her mother: Joan Daniels Atkinson of Islamorada, FL; father: Peter W. Atkinson of Blue Bell, PA; two brothers; David D. Atkinson of Rotonda West, FL; Peter Atkinson of Atlantic City, NJ; and one sister: Cindy Dwyer of Andover, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 12 Noon, at the Englewood United Methodist Church - Doan Chapel. Inurnment will be in the Englewood United Methodist Memorial Garden.
