Obituary of John D. Hall

JOHN D. HALL, 71, of Englewood passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Tidewell Hospice in Venice. He was born on January 3, 1939 in Leslie, Texas to David Crockett and Minnie L. (Chaney) Hall. A resident of Charlotte County for four years coming from Tracy, California; Mr. Hall retired from the City of Tracy Fire Department in 1994. He served twenty-seven years and retired as a Captain. He saved many lives during his career as a fire fighter. He was an arson investigator with the California Conference of Arson Investigators and then a building inspector. In his retirement years in Englewood, he enjoyed doing things around the home, sitting in his yard enjoying the beauty of birds and animals. Survivors include his loving wife: Inge E. Hall of Englewood, FL one daughter: Sonya Hall Parker of Osage City, KS; four step-daughters: Louise Gammon of Tracy, CA; Sylvia, Natasha and Diana Ljubic of Vienna Austria; one sister: Thelma Beasley of Napa Valley, CA; one brother: Jack (Miyen) Hall of Pataskala, Ohio; one half-sister: Dorothy Wells of Greenacres, WA and three grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Jo Ann in 1986. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11 Am at the Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3070 So.
