Obituary of Charlotte Violet Carlson

Charlotte Violet Carlson, 80 of Englewood died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Englewood Community Hospital. She was born October 13, 1929 in in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Violet (Johnson) Ekberg. Charlotte moved to Englewood in 1989 from Homewood, IL. She attended Bethel College in St. Paul, MN than toured the US and Canada for a year with a group called God's Invasion Army affiliated with the Baptist General Conference. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Orland Park, IL since 1941 and attended Fellowship Church and Calvary Baptist Church in Englewood. Survivors include her three daughters; Rebecca Carlson of Homewood, FL., Claire Nelson of Woodbury, MN, Gayle Russo of Amery, WI: one son; Paul Carlson of Englewood: eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Burton in Oct. 2004. A Memorial Service will be held at Englewood Community Funeral Home, Inc. 3070 S. McCall Rd. on Tuesday, March 23 at 2:00 PM with the Pastor Garry Clark of fellowship Church officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to Fellowship Church 1460 S. McCall Rd.
