Obituary of Patricia J. Szafranski

PATRICIA JOAN SZAFRANSKI, 72, of Englewood died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Born on January 22, 1938 in Salem, Massachusetts she had been a resident of Englewood for sixteen years coming from Nashua, New Hampshire. A loving wife, mother and homemaker for her family, she was a communicant of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years: Leo J. Szafranski of Englewood, FL; one daughter; Denise (Mark) Rainville of Treasure Island, FL; one son: Brian (Sylvie) Szafranski of Jensen Beach, FL; one brother: Ken (Jo-Ann) Checicki of North Andover, MA two nieces; Susan Grasso of Haverhill, MA and Karen Yelsits of N. Andover, MA and extended family members. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM at the Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3070 So. McCall Road. Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church with Father Niles Gillen, officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM Sarasota National VA Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the H.
