Obituary of Lawrence McDonald

Lawrence Hugh McDonald, 80 of Port Charlotte, Florida and formerly of South Korea died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1929 in Grosse Point, MI to Hugh and Phyllis (Dick) McDonald. Lawrence served for over 20 years in the U.S. Army retiring as a Staff Sergeant and retiring to South Korea. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and AMVETS. He moved back to the US 10 years ago to be with his sister. He enjoyed building model airplanes and riding motorcycles. Survivors include his sister: Phyllis Hoffman of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother: Patrick McDonald of Lake Orion, MI and many other family members. He will be buried with Military Honors at the Sarasota National VA Cemetery on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 12 noon.
