Obituary of Deane Marts

Deane Floyd Marts, 83, of Port Charlotte, FL formerly of Fairview, West Virginia died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1926 in East McKeesport, PA to Floyd and Ruth (Coleman) Marts. He served in the US Armed forces during WW-II. Deane retired from the family business, Marts Drilling prior to moving to Florida in July 2008. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed being a sharpshooter, doing wood crafts and was an all around do-it -yourselfer. Survivors include his two children; William Marts and his wife Gail and Carolyn Marts-Larsen and her husband David all of Port Charlotte: one brother; Gary Marts of E. McKeesport, PA., five grandsons and eight great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Gardens of Gulf Cove Community Center on Coniston St. Port Charlotte, Sunday, February 7 from 1:30 to 5:00 PM. A pot luck dish will be appreciated.
