Obituary of David Allan Woike

DAVID ALLAN WOIKE, 66, of Port Charlotte died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at his Charlotte County residence. Born on January 2, 1944 in Cleveland, OH he had been a resident of Charlotte County for fifteen years coming from North Olmstead, OH. Mr. Woike retired after twenty-five years as a detective for the Cleveland Police Department in 1992. In his retirement he loved to bowl, golf and fish. He was the equipment manager for the Englewood Pop Warner football league. While living in Cleveland he managed the Cleveland Police Patrolman Association softball team. David was a member of the West Coast Church Assembly of God. Survivors include his loving wife for thirty-seven years: Renee Woike of Pt. Charlotte, FL; two sons; David A. Kasper of Montana; Stephen R. Woike of Englewood, FL; one beloved grandson: Alexander Woike of Pt. Charlotte, FL and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7 Pm at the West Coast Church, 240 Pine Street with Pastors Dan and Nancy Turpin, officiating.
