Obituary of Evelyn Badger

Evelyn J. Badger, 85, of Englewood, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at her Sarasota County residence. She was born Evelyn Alice Jepsen to Henry and Alice (Nissen) Jepsen on May 23, 1924 in Hartford, CT She was a teacher in Connecticut for many years and went back to college and became a psychologist to help learning disabled children. By the time of her retirement she was the head of her department. Evelyn and her husband Earl moved to Englewood in June 1997 from Burlington, CT. She was an active member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Englewood which she dearly loved. She enjoyed a full productive life, including many worldwide trips with her family. She enjoyed her beautiful gardens and had a love for bird watching. Survivors include her two much loved sons; Kim (Laurna) Badger of Wyoming, Canada, and Guy Badger of Englewood: granddaughter; Monique Kusky of Flint, MI: brother; Bud (Paula) Jebson of Avon, CT and her brother in-law; Clyde (Patricia) Badger of Ashville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in August 2006. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
