Obituary of Doris E. Day

DORIS ELAINE PERRY DAY Doris E. P. Day, 87, of Nokomis died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was born in Akron, Ohio on April 14, 1922 to Aurelia Bonnebeau and Paul F. Perry. Doris spent many years traveling the world with her husband and family. Some of her fondest memories were of their years living in Europe. She is predeceased by her husband, Captain Clayton E. Day in 1991. Survivors include her four children: Judith Day Hovis and her husband Robert; William P. Day and his wife Mary; Joseph C. Day and partner Dale Mock; and Bonnie Jeanne Day; ten grandchildren: Lloyd Hinote, Lorrie Arcilesi, Dawn Gold, Adrianne and James Day, Stephanie Johnson, Angelia Allmon, Christopher Day, Brandon and Clayton Adams; ten great grandchildren: Justin and Landon Hinote; Erica, Brooke and Alexa Arcilesi; Morgan, Adam, Sidney and Josh Schusterman, and Devin Johnson. Doris had so many friends, that at her surprise 86th Birthday Party, over one hundred people were on hand to honor her! Rest in peace dear, sweet Mother.
