Obituary of James Hobbs

JAMES P. HOBBS James Patton Hobbs, 76, of Venice died Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Tidewell Hospice & Palliative Care in Venice. Born on August 9, 1932 in Rose Hill, Virginia he served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Venice from Crofton, Maryland and has been a resident of Sarasota County for six years. He was a finish carpenter for Mike Larrick Construction in Maryland for more than twenty years and retired in 1997. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-six years: Mollie F. Hobbs of Venice, FL; two daughters: Mary (Thomas) Bruciak of Venice, FL; Joyce (Marcial) Amigo of Mitchellville, MD; one son: James (Tammy) Hobbs of Spotsylvania, VA; one brother: David Hobbs of Ellenton, FL; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 7 PM until 9 PM at the Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3070 South McCall Road, Englewood. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 11 Am at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
