Obituary of Thomas Krzywicki

Thomas Krzywicki, 60 of Port Charlotte, FL formerly of Cherry Hill and Wildwood, NJ; died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to Walter J. and Rose Mary (McGovern) Krzywicki. Tom was a 40 year member of Pile Drivers Local 454 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of the first graduating class of Local 454's Apprenticeship Training School. During his long and distinguished career Tom worked on many landmark projects such as The Betsy Ross Bridge, Eddystone Power Plant, Salem Nuclear Power Plant and several of the Atlantic City Casinos. Tom was a strong union man who was well liked and respected by his brother members and will be greatly missed by the many friends he had in the union. Thomas moved to Florida 5 years ago and attended St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was a member of the Englewood Elks Lodge and enjoyed fishing and wood working. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Patricia; father: Walter J. Krzywicki of Philadelphia, PA; brother: Walter V. (Catherine) Krzywicki of Warminster, PA, sister: Arleen (Ed) Blewitt of Collingdale, PA; son Joseph Damion of Cincinnati, OH; sons Thomas and Eric and daughter Kelly Krzywicki of Philadelphia, PA; father and mother in law: Ernest and Marie Rutherford of Englewood; two brothers in law: James (Lael) Rutherford of Medford, NJ; Tom Rutherford of Absecon, NJ and many nieces and nephews. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Englewood Community Funeral Home 3070 S. McCall Rd. In lieu of flowers family requests contributions in Tom's name to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, Fl 34238.
