Obituary of Donald Veno

Donald Veno age 83 or 24856 Pennington Terrace, Venice, Florida passed away at his home on 4/12/2024 after a short sickness.

He was born on 12/12/1940 in Dover, NH. He was the son of Raymond & Laurette Veno.  He was raised in Somersworth where he attended his primary and High School years. 

Don graduated from Somersworth High School in June of 1958. He was an excellent baseball player and pitched three no hitters in his senior year.

Don married his high school sweetheart Doris Fournier on September 10th,1960.  They have two sons, Kevin Veno of Laconia, NH. And Steven Veno of Budd Lake, New Jersey

He worked for the State Department of Correction as Director of Administration until he retired in January of 2004

He leaves behind his wife Doris of 63 years, two sons Kevin Veno, Steve Veno four granddaughters Jessica Veno, Nicole Veno, Olivia Veno, Sydney Veno, one grandson Cameron and a great grandson Jonathan Stebbins and a niece and several nephews. He also leaves behind one brother David Veno.  And his brother in law Dennis Fournier.

He was predeceased by his younger brother Dennis Veno who passed away March 25, 2023  and his daughter-in-law Sandra on 1/26/2024 after a long sickness.

 Don loved to bicycle he and Doris went on several bike trips with friends. He loved puttering around the house. He loved golfing whether he was with his guy friends or his wife Doris who also loves golfing. He and Doris loved dancing and getting together with friends to play cards. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed by many of his close friends and especially his wife Doris who was the love of his life.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Belmont, NH at St Joseph Catholic church at 10AM on June 20th followed by burial on the same day at the family lot at Mt Calvary Cemetary in Somersworth NH at 1:45
