Kayla Hires

Obituary of Kayla Beth Hires

Taken from this life far too early, Kayla Beth Hires passed away unexpectedly Monday May 22 in Florida.  Kayla was born in Michigan June 27, 1990 to Kathryn (Richter) Bloom and William Hires.  The youngest born into a blended family, she instantly inherited five older siblings.  Always the little sister, she loved to annoy her siblings.  However, she also loved them all fiercely throughout her life and was never afraid to tell them so.  And that can be said of anyone Kayla loved, friends and family alike, you knew she loved you and there was never a doubt. Celebrating accomplishments, birthdays, life milestones, whatever the reason, she was in your corner no matter what.

Kayla was driven and appreciated that drive in her companions.  She made many friends at the gym where you could find her frequently, when not at the beach where our little mermaid loved to be whenever she could find the time.

She loved helping others and her career allowed her to do that full time. Having recently passed her national licensing exam she was looking forward to taking the next steps in life and a potential move back to the Midwest with her partner Thomas.

Unfortunately, we'll never know all the wonderful things Kayla had yet to do and accomplish in this life.  But we can certainly imagine great things were in store for her future.

Kayla is preceded in death by her father William (Bill), her grandparents, her Uncle Jim, her nephew Zane, and her beloved fur babies Willie and Riddick. She also left behind a devastated group of family and friends.  Her immediate family including her mother Kathryn (Kathy), her siblings Adam Todd, Aaron (Rachel) Todd, Allison (Mark) Palmer, Matthew (Billie) Hires, and Jason (Erin) Hires, her nieces and nephews Carter, Alaina, Jillian, Jonathon, Jesalique, Gavin, Leigh, Leif and Gage and her fur baby Bobbie along with her partner Thomas, her extended family and her large group of friends will forever miss her and the light she brought into the room with a wild story or one of her many jokes.  We'll miss the laughter and love that surrounded her and anyone she was with.

Due to the current shock and devastation of her passing, we will plan services at a later time and reach out to loved ones to celebrate her life.  We want to get this just right for Kayla just like she would have done.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local shelter, humane society, or mental health charitable organizations, all of which Kayla was passionate about.  You could also send those flowers to a loved one or call someone who would love to hear from you.  Express your love to those you care about as much as you can, just like Kayla would.  Forget that grudge, forgive one another and live in peace. You never know what each day will bring and who might be taken from you too soon.
