Obituary of Rolande T. Laliberte

Rolande T. Laliberte  (May 6, 1937 – February 10, 2023)

Rolande “Ro” Laliberte died peacefully at home on February 10 after a short illness.  She was 85.

She was born in Van Buren, ME to Joseph and Cecile (Masse) Tardif, and moved to Connecticut after marrying Bob, the love of her life.  There she worked as an Office Manager for Waldbaum’s, and spent her free time bowling, water skiing, and attending craft fairs and bazaars.  Ro retired to Englewood, FL in 1997 where she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi church.  She filled her days playing Bingo, poker, and spending time with family and good friends.  She also enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Bob, and his wife Barb (FL); their daughter, Claire Chaffee (AZ); her sister, Blanche LeCompte (FL); her brother, Ross Tardif (FL); her grandsons, Bobby (TX) and Peter (FL); and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 21, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 5265 Placida Road, Grove City, FL 34224.
