Obituary of Gloria Catherine Filler

Gloria Catherine (Benigno) Filler, 91, of Rotonda West, FL lived an amazing life and passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022. Gloria was born November 20, 1930 in Garfield, NJ to the late Agnes and Sam Benigno. Gloria graduated from Garfield (NJ) High School and worked and retired from the Borough of Oakland after a long and accomplished career.

Spending time with family and friends was always a priority and along with her husband, Bob, always had a meal and a drink ready to share with anyone who stopped by for a visit. Gloria’s spirit and competitiveness came through her participation in bowling, team tennis and picking up golf in her retirement years. She also never passed up a game of cards with her children or grandchildren. Gloria’s faith was always important to her as she attended services and was actively involved with church throughout her life.

Gloria is survived by her children Patricia Dalton (Keith), Robert and Richard (Beth), grandchildren: Jaime, Kimberly (Garette), Christopher, Kate (Nick) and Grace and great-grandchildren: Dalton, Emerson and JR.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, sister Julie, and her husband of 65 years Bob.

A piece of our hearts goes with her to her final resting place and a piece of hers will stay with us always.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
