Obituary of Connie K Deckebach

Connie K. Deckebach, born on May 9, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on July 15, 2022 at the age of 85, in Rotonda, Florida.

Connie is survived by her husband, Alan Deckebach of 40 years. She is also survived by her daughters, Kym Kulle and Nancy White (Tim), son, Jim Kulle Jr., along with her stepson’s Scott and Brian Deckebach; beloved grandchildren: Gabrielle and Emma White, Jeni Christen (Adam), Josh (Betty) Kulle, Elizabeth Kulle and Helena Deckebach; cherished great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Avrie, Jon Christen, Aaron Jivoin and Abi Mechley.

Connie and Alan had the opportunity to retire early from their respective careers. This allowed them to experience an opportunity of a lifetime to live on a boat and travel the waterways of the eastern United States, Canada and Bahamas for over eight years.  These adventures allowed them to meet many lifelong friends.  

After they finished boating, they landed in Rotonda Florida.  Connie was an accomplished quilter and an active member of the Peace River Quilt Guild of Punta Gorda and Sunshine Guilt Guild of Englewood. Connie had a love and passion for making quilts for her family, friends and donating them to various charities.  

The timing of Connie’s Celebration of Life is to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated in her name to either The Dementia Society of America or Tidewell Hospice.
