Obituary of Dianne Marie Brophy

Dianne Marie Brophy 76, of Englewood Florida passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of July 1st, 2022.

Dianne was born in Boston Massachusetts to Jane and Louis Cristadoro in August of 1945.  She was the youngest of three children raised in Dorchester Massachusetts, graduated from Hyde Park High School in Hyde Park MA, and then pursued an associate degree in clerical work at Boston Business School. She worked at Florsheim shoes in downtown Boston for many years and during that time met her beloved husband Charles J. Brophy, retired Sergeant Massachusetts State Police. They married on December 13th, 1969 at Saint Williams church in Dorchester Mass and soon after welcomed their first child, Sean Joseph Brophy. Three years later they welcomed their second child Lisa Marie (Brophy) Kile.

Dianne worked at the Plymouth MA Town Assessors office for many years, it was said that no matter how unhappy a resident may be when they walked in – they always walked out a friend of Dianne’s and happy.  She was a fun-loving woman who loved to dance and to sneak rides on a motorcycle no matter the age.  She is known near and far for her many quick-witted sayings and for her loving guidance for her family and friends.   She spent many nights at the bingo hall at the Plymouth VFW laughing with friends and winning big.  A devout Catholic and Mother, she taught CCD for years to ensure her children as well as many other children had a spiritual foundation but also to give back to the Catholic Church that she loves so deeply.

She is preceded in death by her mother Jane Cristadoro, father Louis Cristadoro and sister Jayne Cristadoro-Tam.

Dianne is survived by her husband Charles J. Brophy, her brother Charles Cristadoro, son Sean J. Brophy, daughter Lisa Kile, son in law Greg Kile, three grandchildren Connor Brophy, Kellyn Brophy, Garrett Kile and many nieces and nephews.
