Obituary of Roberta Browning Dillon

Roberta Browning Dillon, 67, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 5 at 6:17pm at Englewood Community Hospital. She is survived by a very large family who will deeply miss her presence on this earth. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Roberta was born on August 9, 1954, in Huntington, West Virginia at Guthrie Hospital. She was the daughter of Robert Lee and Pearl Arden Mullins Browning. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Polly Browning, Thelma "Punkin" Leffingwell and Hattie Hopper: Four brothers, Jack Browning, Robert Lee Browning Jr, Don Browning, and Lawrence Browning and very special brother-in-law Gene Black. Roberta is survived by her husband James "Steve" Dillon of Port Charlotte, Florida, Sons Erik Mirza (Monica) of Tampa, Florida, Chris Hopper of San Antonio, Texas, stepson Jeff Mirza, Winter haven, Florida, two sisters Mollie Kelly of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Barbara Black of Huntington, West Virginia, her brother-in-law and friend, Richard Leffingwell of Huntington, West Virginia, and her very special boy, Kaden Russel, Port Charlotte, Florida. Roberta was honored to have an incredible number of nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she dearly loved. Roberta loved children and was so proud of her grandchildren Jaxon, Mason, Brandon, Elizabeth, and Stevie. In addition to her family Roberta loved to garden and cook. She was a "feeder" and would try to feed her loved ones any time they walked into her home. Even though she would never admit it, Roberta loved her fur babies Mickey and Sissy. A celebration of life will be held at future dates in Florida and West Virginia. Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory has been selected to handle arrangements.
