Mark, Larry, and Family, I was so touched by Mary Ellen's passing for so many reasons. Knowing she had full and made such a positive impact on so many, gave me a feeling of love, comfort and joy. I feel blessed having known both her and your father, Tony. The fond memories of raising our children together, attending Ascension Women's Club meetings and Knights of Columbus events, I hold dear. Your mom was the one person that had the ability to encourage her friends to "make a difference ". Please know we realize how deeply she will be missed by so many, ourselves included. With love and sympathy, Ann McDonough, Margie (McDonough) Gertsch, and Patti (McDonough) Hoess

I met Mary Ellen almost 45 years ago when I was dating her son, Mark. He and I have been married 41 years. I remember so many wonderful stories about her. I was most impressed by her love of family and her dynamic presence. She was a leader and was always giving of herself in service in too many examples to name. She made a mark in this world and will never be forgotten. May our sweet Lord give her eternal rest! We'll miss you Mom!
