When I think of my brother Tom, I hear laughter. When I feel Tom's presence, it's like a big, warm hug.
When I hear music, I remember how well Tom could dance.
When I remember the sparkle in his eye, I know why he loved playing Santa Claus.
Until we meet again.
Godspeed, my dear brother.

I am not a relative of either Tom or his wife Joann but I wanted to share a story. When I rented a house on Palm Island in Englewood Florida for my husband's unsuspected last 85th birthday in December 2016, myself, his daughter Lisa and her husband Tommy from Long Island and his daughter Audrey and her partner Gary from Lake Placid, NY were there with us. So were Tom and Joann Weeks. Without going into details, Tom Weeks was like my husband's other son and Joann is like my younger sister. They were not "blood" relatives but they were part of our immediate family and we loved them. My husband passed three years before Tom and it is hard for me to believe because Herb lived a long life whereas Tom did not. I will miss Tom's gentle spirit and his inclusion in my life for almost fifteen years. But "Santa" never really dies, he is immortal. I believe he is with Herb and his only son, Wayne who died in an accident at age 21, in Heaven. They are all sitting together, drinking a beer, and having a great time for themselves up there. I can only say aux revoire "until we meet again" in French. And I know we will meet again.
