To my Darling, Wayne. You've been gone for 4 weeks and it seems like an eternity. I keep looking for you to come from the bedroom, garage, etc. I look for you in the pool but I know you didn't enjoy it as much as you did in previous years because of your many physical difficulties. I miss having you by my side in the car and announcing "buckle up, buttercup!" just before we pull out of the driveway. I miss you sleeping the night away in your recliner and then going to bed and sleeping all night. I miss your easy going demeanor. I miss you wiping the dishes for me at night. I miss your warm and gentle hugs...oh, how I miss that. Since you can't hug me, I hug your pillow at night with your American flag on top and it gives me some comfort. This will have to do until we meet again. I know you are safe so I'm asking you to watch over us, guide us, and protect us. You will be forever in my heart..Love, Susan

Sue, I want to extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved Wayne. I have known you and Wayne for many years through my beloved husband Jim Provost. I enjoyed spending time with you and Wayne at Precious Blood HS reunions and listening to special memories you shared together growing up. He was a special man and had many friends. I'm sure Jim will enjoy another friend to join him on the "greens of heaven" They'll have lots to catch up on at the 19th hole. Rest in Peace, Wayne and thank you for your service to our great country.

My sincere condolences to you, Sue, Doug and Jennifer and all that knew and loved Wayne. I never saw him without a smile. He was a cheerful, caring member of both his Chicopee and Florida communities. I am proud to have known him. Thank you for your loyal service to our country. Rest well, my friend.

The Viet Nam War, but more accurately, Agent Orange, has claimed another HERO. Over the years that we have known Wayne, we saw him to be a loving husband and father, a doting grandfather, and a damn good neighbor. We are sure that God has a special place reserved for Wayne, right next to his John Deere lawnmower.
