Obituary of Hazel May Burghardt Dickson

Hazel May Burghardt Dickson, 92 of Richmond, MA and Venice, FL passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009. She was born December 22, 1916 in Pittsfield, MA to John H. C. and Julia M. (Gorman) Burghardt. Hazel was a winter resident of Sarasota County for over 20 years. Survivors include her children; Sally Ann (Dr. Barry) Kellogg of Nokomis, FL., Susan Jane Rockefeller of Housatonic, MA., Nancy May (Spencer) Gregg of Wethersfield, CT., William (Barbara) Dickson of Nokomis, FL., 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years; William Alexander Dickson in 1999. Services and internment will be from the Wellington Funeral Home in Pittsfield, MA. A Memorial Service will be held in Nokomis, FL at a later date. Family requests contributions be made in Hazel's memory to New Hope Christian Church Building Fund 249 Tamiami Trail South Nokomis, FL 34275.
