Obituary of Doris Knowles

DORIS M. KNOWLES Doris M. Knowles, 92, life long resident of Englewood went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at her Sarasota County residence. Born on December 11, 1916 in Englewood, Mrs. Knowles was the daughter of the late Jesse (Pat) Lampp and Edith Anger-Lampp, who were founding members of the Englewood United Methodist Church. Doris was the downer/operator of Lampp's Clothiers, a local clothing store in Englewood. She was a loving wife and homemaker and a special caregiver to her family during illness and difficult times. She was a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church. She is pre-deceased by her parents Jesse (Pat)Lampp, Edith Anger-Lampp and her husband, H. Maitland Knowles. Survivors include her sister: Lottie Lampp of Englewood, FL several nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews
