Obituary of Cleatus Remmy

Cleatus Byrl Remmy, 75, of Englewood formerly of Youngsville, PA left us for a better life on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at his Charlotte County residence. He was born January 30, 1933 in Ponca City, OK to the late Elwyn and Alpha (Burrell) Remmy. Cleatus served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by General Motors as a mechanical engineer and after 17 years he retired in 1998. He and his wife have been eight month residents for nine years coming from Youngsville, PA. An avid sportsman who loved fishing and hunting, he was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club in Lakewood, NY; a life Member of Rod & Gun Club of Grand Island, NY; and a Life Member of Broken Straw Rod & Gun Club of Youngsville, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of eighteen years: Teresa Edel-Remmy of Englewood, FL; one daughter: Linda Remmy of Anaheim, CA; two sons: Richard Remmy of Boynton Beach, FL, Robert Remmy of Amherst, NY; four step-children: Lisa Raiford of Wynnewood, OK, Terri Osypian of Niagara Falls, NY, Dennis Sawaya of Charlotte, NC and Denise Swain of Indiana, PA; one half-sister: Brenda Jones of Louisville, KY; one half-brother: Randy Remmy of Ocala, FL; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. A celebration of Cleatus' life will be held on ---- at -- at the Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3070 South McCall Road with-----, officiating.
