Obituary of Peter Rubino

PETER RUBINO Peter Rubino, 82, of Englewood died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Englewood Community Hospital. Born on January 20, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania he had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. A resident of Charlotte County coming from Sicklerville, New Jersey he retired as a superintendent for an industrial construction company. He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 in Rotonda West, B.P.O.Elks Lodge 2378 in Englewood and the Traditional Archery Club, United Bowhunters both of NJ, and the National Field Archery Association. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-eight years; Angela M. Rubino of Englewood, FL; one son: Peter J. Rubino, Sr. of Mount Holly, NJ; two step daughters; one brother: Jim Rubino of Margate City, NJ; one sister: Jean Pino of So. Philadelphia, PA; four nieces: Gladys Angelucci of Cherry Hill, NJ; Elizabeth Chitwood of Drexel Hill, PA, Helen Kozikowski of Lititz, PA; Maryann Giesz of Hammondsport, NY; sister-in-law: Ann Rubin of Vero Beach, FL; one grandson: Peter Rubino, Jr., and several great nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, interment of cremains with military honors to follow in St. Francis - Memorial Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memorial & Honor Program, Memphis, TN 38195 in memory of Mr. Rubino.
