Obituary of James Gately

James F. Gately, 64 of Venice, formerly of Waltham, MA; died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Tidewell Hospice & Palliative Care in Venice. He was born August 26, 1944 in Cambridge, MA to Frederick and Rose (Slefinger) Gately. James served in the US Navy. He retired from Polaroid as an electrician after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, boating and classic cars. He is survived by his wife who he has known for 30 years and been married for 5 years; Barbara; daughter; Kristen Belliveau of Billerica, MA: two sons; James of Billerica, MA and Kevin of Lowell, MA. He is also survived by a sister Kathryn Bowse of Lincoln, MA and two brothers; John of Atkinson, NH and Kenneth of New Boston, NH and six grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Jetty in Nokomis on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM.
