Obituary of Jacqueline Granicz

Jacqueline F. Granicz, 55, of Venice died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Born on October 7, 1953 in Ottawa, Canada to Adelard and Liliane (Scantland) Poirier. She had been a resident of Florida for 28 years coming from Ottawa, Canada. Jacqueline's hobbies were her loving family, traveling, languages, designing, art and she was a chocolate connoisseur. Survivors include her husband of 29 years; Robert: children Beverly Black of Ottawa, Canada; Lauren Granicz of Venice; Renee Granicz of Gainesville: grandson; Joshua Black of Ottawa, Canada: sisters; Denise Leger of Ottawa, Canada; Michele Mayman of London, Canada and many loving nieces and nephews. Jackie will be dearly missed by the Granicz side of the family; her mother and father in law: Joseph and Irene, her sister in law: Catherine and her husband Laszlo as well as their son Sandor, who was Jackie's Godson. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at 5:30 PM at Englewood United Methodist Church.
